January – Class 43 43055 and an unseen 43049 depart Bristol Temple Meads, working 1Z43 0551 Hull to Paignton ‘Torbay Riviera Pullman’. Captured by Eric Richardson.
February – Freightliner Class 66 66504 and 66531 crossing ‘The Iron Bridge’ near Roche, on the Newquay branch line, with the sun setting in the west. Captured by Jon Hird.
March – The new build steam GWR Class 6800 6880 ‘Betton Grange’ takes its first trip of a Branchline Gala at Garth-y-Dŵr near Glyndyfrdwy. Captured by Harry Partington.
April – The Severn Valley Railway Class 101 DMU 50253 stationed at Kidderminster for a Spring Steam Gala on the 21st of April 2025. Captured by Oliver Potter.
May – The ‘Cambrian Coast Express’ with Network Rail Class 97 97302 ‘Rheilffyrdd Ffestiniog ac Eryri’ and BR Class 37 37685 ‘Loch Arkaig’ in charge, travel from Bristol Temple Meads to Pwllheli on the 16th of May 2025. Captured by Phil Wakely.
June – LNER Class A4 4-6-2 60007 ‘Sir Nigel Gresley’ passes Saltern Cove, Devon on the approach to Paignton. Captured by Geoff Griffiths.
July – Southeastern Class 375 375608 at Folkestone Warren on a beautiful afternoon on the Kent Coast. Captured by David Andrews.
August – GWR Hitachi Class 802 802106 in ‘Paddington in Peru’ livery, heads east along the Dawlish sea wall on the approach to Rockstone Bridge as it works the Penzance to London Paddington route. Captured by Thomas Mills.
September – Standard BR Class 2MT 2-6-0 78018 ‘Borough of Darlington’ departs Loughborough for Leicester North on the Great Central Railway. Captured by Geoff Griffiths.
October – SR West Country Class 34027 ‘Taw Valley’ leaving early in the morning from Kidderminster to Bridgnorth. Captured by TTLPhoto212.
November – BR Class 37 37403 ‘Isle of Mull’ at Loch Awe between Oban and Crianlarich on a Branch Line Society Railtour to Fort William. Captured by Christopher Allen.
December – GBRf Class 60 60095, on a snowy morning between Rainhill and Whiston, operating 6M34 Drax Power Station to Tuebrook Sidings Liverpool. Captured by Paul Holmes.
